Problem description

  • CAN-2005-0237: IDN domain name spoofing was fixed for KDE applications, including the Konqueror web browser.
  • Additionally a buffer overflow in the PCX picture handling was fixed.
  • CAN-2005-0396: A local denial of service attack was fixed where a local user could deadlock the system by writing to the world writeable DCOP socket.
This issue is referenced by the SUSE Security Announcement SUSE-SA:2005:022.


Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
