Problem description

A format string problem was found in the logging routines of the perl-Net-Server perl module collection. This could lead to a remote attacker being able to crash a server using the perl-Net-Server module.
This is tracked by the Mitre CVE ID CAN-2005-1127.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh perl-Net-Server.rpm
