    • Add support for MCP51 and MCP55 Sata and IDE devices
    • Add support for new Serverworks/Broadcom SouthBridge SATA controller
  • Update EDD code to 0.16 and add x86_64 support
  • Add driver for pcf8574 i2c sensor
  • Add an module option to conntrack to enable NAT for local connections
  • Disable TSO by default
  • NFS: Solaris VxFS compatibility fix, lockd decoding fixes
  • Scheduler enhancements to support SMT on ia64
  • Fix quota race vs inode cleanup

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh kernel-*.rpm
In case you are using LILO as bootmanager, please make sure that you also execute the command
lilo
after installing the update for the system to remain bootable.
Finally, reboot the system with
shutdown -r now
