None.

Problem description

The hardware detection performed by hwscan uses the rewinding tape device nodes (like /dev/st0) which causes a loaded tape to rewind on various occasions. This update changes the behaviour to use the non-rewinding tape device nodes (e.g. /dev/nst0.)

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh hwinfo.rpm hwinfo-devel.rpm
