Indications

Intel's latest microcode does address CPU errata.

Problem description

The package microcode_ctl contains the tool and the data to upload
the latest microcode to intel x86 and x86-64 CPUs.
This update contains the latest intel microcode, providing updates
for recent CPUs.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fvh microcode_ctl.rpm
