Problem description

The cronjob that deletes old core files can be tricked to delete
arbitrary files if DELETE_OLD_CORE is set to yes
in /etc/sysconfig/cron. (By default, the variable is set
to no.)

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh findutils-locate.rpm
