Problem description

This update fixes a buffer overflow in the DNS handling code (CAN-2004-0110).
This bug can be exploited remotely via a DNS server under the control of the
attacker.

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fvh libxml2.rpm libxml2-devel.rpm
