Indications

Everyone using Matrox G200SE graphics controllers should install this update.

Contraindications

None.

Problem description

On machines with Matrox G200SE controllers the X.Org mga driver might cause a system freeze during X server startup due to a misaligned PCI access. Furthermore, on G200SE PCIe cards MTTR support needs to be disabled.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:
rpm -Fvh xorg-x11-driver-video.rpm
