Users of the ibmsys SCSI driver for iSeries native disks should apply this patch.

Problem description

This update of the ibmsis microcode improves the reliability and stability of the SCSI firmware.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system using the following command:
rpm -Uvh ibmsis.rpm
To activate the new ibmsys microcode you need to reboot your linux system.
