Indications

Users of the Kopete instant messenger program together with Groupwise Messenger should update.

Contraindications

None.

Problem description

Optionally, the Groupwise Messenger server requires keepalive messages to be sent by clients, in order to be able to reap stale connections. This update enables sending such messages by Kopete.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fhv kdenetwork3-nld-InstantMessenger.rpm
