Problem description

hwinfo/libhd used to report the wrong architecture under some circumstances (s390 instead of s390x) causing YOU (YaST Online Update) to get the wrong patches and making an online update via YaST2 impossible.
Therefore this patch is strongly recommended.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as two RPM packages that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fvh hwinfo.rpm yast2-agent-probe.rpm
