Indications

Everybody using rdist should update.

Problem description

When an rdist was initiated from a remote host, all files were transferred as
intended. However, due to a compiler bug, subsequent rdist sessions from the
same remote host transferred the same files once again, even if they had not
changed.

Solution

Please install the updates provided at the location noted below.

Installation notes

This update is provided as an RPM package that can easily be installed onto a running system by using this command:


rpm -Fvh rdist.rpm
