Features & Benefits
Features & Benefits
Increase Efficiency
Information collection and analysis by server group rather than individual servers will help save time on issue diagnosis and resolution. By storing server credentials within a local encrypted database you can maximize efficiency to avoid new setup tasks for each diagnosis.
Better Oversight
Through cross-platform execution and improved information handling, Novell Support Advisor 2.0 covers more servers in your environment to ensure better oversight. In addition, it will adapt to a dynamic environment using discovery methods (NMAP or PING) to detect additional servers. You can also import a list of servers ensuring that your diagnosis is complete.
Easy to Use
The simplified client install for Linux and Windows provides an easy set-up and implementation, giving you the tools to start your diagnosis quickly.
Keep Track with a Health Check History
The Analysis Archive Database preserves a history of health checks that have been run and the problems that have been addressed, allowing you to see trends and changes over time. The dashboard makes the information readily accessible and you can run proactive health checks to prevent future issues.
Request a Service Request
Requesting a service request couldn't be easier. A Novell Support link is provided so you can have direct access to a Novell technical expert to resolve more complicated issues.
How it Works
How it Works
- Install the client on a system that can communicate with both the servers in your local environment and the update server at Novell.
- The client will prompt you to download newly released Novell Support Diagnostic Patterns (SDPs) authored by Novell technical experts from the Novell update server.
- The SDPs identify new problems and return possible solutions to you.
- When the data is gathered for a health check, some load occurs over a Secure Shell connection to the queried device, but once the data is collected, the connection is terminated so network and device load is minimized.
