Error occurs while running a Tree Wide Health Check report which includes Timesync information
cause
When running a Tree Wide Health Check in NDS iMonitor (see examples of urls to get to this feature in NDS iMonitor)

If a Netware 4.x server running NDS 6.x is in the tree, those servers will report the error: "Unable to connect to the specified server."
The cause of this is because NDS iMonitor issues a DS Ping to all servers to see if they are up. NDS 6.x does not support these calls and so it does not respond to the ping. The end result is that the server running NDS iMonitor thinks that the NDS 6.x server is down and will report the error.
fix
NDS iMonitor is a new administration tool that does not guarantee complete backwards functionality with older versions of NDS. There are many things that can be reported back to NDS iMonitor from older versions of NDS. However, in order for an administrator to take full advantage of all of the features offered by NDS iMonitor, it is recommended that eDirectory 8.6.x or greater is installed on all servers in the tree. This error is not accurate. Communication is probably not broken between all servers in the tree and the NDS 6.x box. The reporting feature of NDS iMonitor simply can not successfully connect to the server to accurately report on the status of that server.
