symptom

"nds create entry" trap is not getting generated when users migrated through the NIS migrate utility (NFS)

After running the NIS Migration, the users and groups get added to eDirectory, ,but the traps are not generated.

note

Steps for duplication:

1. Installed Falcon on NetWware 5.1+SP5 and Solaris in to a tree.
2. Installed NFS support-pack (SP4 bunduled with CSP8).
3. Started NISSERV, NFSSERV and NFSGY on NetWare.
4. Copied unix password and group files to SYS:\ETC\NIS.
5. Configured SNMP on NetWare and Solaris, and enabled traps 1,2,3 on both of them
6. Started the NIS migration (can be done through ConsoleOne). The users and groups got added to eDirectory, but the traps did not get generated on both NetWare and Solaris.
