Novell eDirectory 8.7 for Linux

symptom

eDirectory 8.7 install hangs on Linux

Hang occurs after the acceptance of the license agreement

cause

JVM 1.4.1 on Linux has an issue that causes the hang. 

fix

As a workaround, modify the install scripts and add a 1 millisecond delay between each package install.  This hang does not occur on JVM 1.4.0 on Linux nor JVM 1.4.1 on Solaris.

Novell is currently testing a work around fix that addes a small delay in the install script.
