symptom

NLDAP does not load automatically

Not all LDAP options are configured correctly

Response file is old and flawed, and should be fixed up or regenerated for SP1 in order to properly configure LDAP.

cause

The response file for NetWare 6 is looking for LDAP version 3.20.0.  Since NetWare 6 FCS the version of LDAP has changed to match the eDirectory version (86.0.1), so it doesn't call the function that creates the attributes needed or add the Load NLDAP to the AUTOEXEC.NCF file.

fix

Regenerate response file for the NetWare 6 install after doing the overlay.

NOTE: While this may not cause you any immediate problems, in the future the support pack installs will look for the LDAP record in PRODUCTS.DAT and the version will be incorrect.  If this is the case other problems (file mismatches) could occur later on.
