symptom

Server hangs when loading NLSFLAIM.NLM.

cause

When NLSFLAIM.NLM loads it makes a call to DS to check licensing.  If NLSFLAIM.NLM does not finish loading, it may have trouble communicating with DS.

fix

1.  Bring up the server by running, "server -na" at the DOS prompt.
2.  Load EDIT AUTOEXEC.NCF, remove any load statements for NLSLSP.NLM, then save the autoexec.ncf.
3.  Load DSREPAIR, Advanced Options Menu, Repair Local DS Database.
4.  Change Rebuild Operation Schema to YES.
5.  Run the repair by pressing F10.
6.  After the repair finishes, escape out of DSREPAIR and reboot the server.
