symptom

"Error: -632 System Failure" installing NDS Server

NDS Server fails to install

Error occurs searching the network for duplicate tree names during install

cause

This error indicates a lack of resources on the UNIX machine.

fix

Add more memory to the server, or unload some modules on the server to free up memory. Another possible workaround is to temporarily isolate the server from the rest of the network, to minimize the network traffic coming in. Make sure there are no other trees with the same name as the new tree.
