symptom

LDAP: error code 4 - Sizelimit Exceeded when searching on users or groups

When searching on users or groups in the Admin Console (eg to choose users to be added as administrators) LDAP Sizelimit error can occur

fix

Make sure to apply a search filter that is strict enough (eg "ab" instead of "a")

Also check the following on eDirectory server level. There might be an attribute set 'LDAP Search Size Limit' in the LDAP server object. You can find this via Console One or iManager (there it is called Entry Limit). Can you check what the value is of that? Value 0 means no filter, everything is returned.
