fact

Novell NetDrive 4.0

Novell NetDrive 4.1

symptom

NetDrive is unable to unlock a locked files.

WebDAV unlock does not work with NetDrive

cause

RFC2518, section 8.11 states that a Lock-Token must be provided by the WebDAV client for it to unlock a locked file.  This Lock-Token was send by the WebDAV server, when the file was locked.
NetDrive sends an empty Lock-Token when it tries to unlock the file (see Note).

fix

This has been fixed with the latest version of Novell NetDrive which ships with Novell iFolder 2.1.
