symptom

Replica Inconsistencies Exist

Not all modifications are synchronized to all servers in the replica ring

Transitive Vectors and Local Received Up To attributes are current.

cause

With eDirectory 8.6.2 SP2 or lower on any server it is possible in some rare occurrences to have the vectors advance while one or more changes are not actually replicated to another server.

NOTE: If this problem does occur you will have severe inconsistencies.  It is critical that you implement the eDirectory 8.6.2 patch - eDir862sp4.exe.

fix

Apply this eDirectory patch to all servers that are running 8.6.2.  The patch can be found at http://support.novell.com/filefinder.
