goal

Default port assignments for the Enterprise Web Server, iFolder, and Apache

fact

Novell Small Business Suite 6

Novell NetWare 6.0

Novell Enterprise Web Server (NES 3.6)

NetWare Enterprise Web Server

cause

The Apache web server is installed automatically by NetWare 6 and if the Enterprise web server is selected during installation, a port resolver will notify the user to select either a single IP address or multiple IP address configuration.  If the single IP address option is selected, each service will be given a port assignment to eliminate the possibility of a port conflict.

fix

The default configuration for port assignments are:

Novell Enterprise Web Server:
80 - non-secured
443 - secured

Novell Apache Services - This controls iManage, NetWare 6 WebAccess, NetStorage and the WebManager:
51080 - non-secured
51443 - secured

If iFolder is also selected, the port assignments for iFolder are:

Novell iFolder Services:
52080 - non-secured
52443 - secured
