symptom

Port Resolver fails to load during installation.

cause

This is caused by a bad entry or no entry in the HOSTNAME file on the server.

fix

Go to SYS:\ETC\HOSTNAME file and make sure the entry shows a valid IP address and a proper DNS entry.  

Example of the HOSTNAME file:

192.168.1.1 myserver.mycompany.com
