symptom

Error: "The Admin Console requires secure server port (HTTPS) access !"

Unable to access the iFolder Server Administration console

cause

The URL being used to access the port was http (unsecured) instead of https (secured).  Using the administrative console for iFolder requires users to login and authenticate to NDS.  This requires users to use a secure port (443/https) instead of unsecured (80/http).

fix

In the URL use https instead of http.  For example, the URL originally entered was http://192.168.1.1/iFolderServer/Admin which must be changed to https://192.168.1.1/iFolderServer/Admin.
