symptom

Installing the iFolder client deletes most files from the local hard drive.

cause

The My Documents folder is mapped to a network drive in the windows registry.  iFolder does not support this type of configuration.  Because My Documents is not local, the install returns a NULL value when checking this folder.

fix

This has been reported to the iFolder engineering department and should be fixed in a future iFolder patch.

You can store the files on the Server, but they are not going to SYNC.  iFolder will only SYNC those on the Local Drive.
