NSS Disk Administration

symptom

NSS Disk Administration window disappears without displaying the Properties of <Server Name> window.

cause

When navigating  to Tools / Disk Management / Devices or RAID Devices or Free Space or Partitions or NSS Pools or NSS Logical Volumes or Traditional Volumes, a NSS Disk Administration window is displayed.  There are three Fields  that require user input; NDS Tree, NDS Context, Server.  If any of the fields are not correct when OK is selected, the window will close.  In this case, customer had an correct NDS Context field.

fix

Make sure that each of the three fields are populated correctly prior to selecting OK.
