symptom

Media tab missing from properties of server object in ConsoleOne.

Disk Management utility in ConsoleOne does not launch after selecting one of the disk management buttons.

Error, "Could not bring up the properties for <server name>+<OtherNames>" when launching the Disk Management Utility in ConsoleOne.

Disk Management Utility errors out

Cannot access disk properties in ConsoleOne

cause

This is caused by the tree not being cleaned up when reinstalling NetWare on a server that had NetWare installed prior.  

fix

To correct this, bring up server properties and go to the General tab.  Delete the "other name" entry and Apply the change.

NOTE:  If the Disk Management Utility only shows the Devices sub-tab after deleting the "other name", reboot the server, then go back in to the Disk Management Utility in ConsoleOne.
