symptom

Error: "500 Location: /webaccess/servlet/portal Internal Servlet Error:"

javax.servlet.ServletException: Error2:  Trying to load file: /WEB-INF/PortalServlet.properties from location:  SYS:\webapps\webaccess\WEB-INF\PortalServlet.properties

cause

The server was missing the servlet.properties file from the SYS:\webapps\webaccess\WEB-INF\PortalServlet.properties

fix

Remove webaccess from the server, rename the SYS:\webapps\webaccess directory and reinstall webaccess on the server.  This generates a new directory structure with the proper files for webaccess.  Once the installation is complete restart the server.

**this is not Groupwise WebAccess but the webaccess piece that ships with NetWare 6**
