fact
Novell NetWare 6.0
Novell NetWare 5.1
Novell iFolder 1.01
symptom
iFolder client won't authenticate states user needs to be connected to internet
cause
For some reason, the workstation thinks it's not connected to the internet, this information is passed to iFolder which gives an error that the user must have an internet connection. If the user is connected to the internet, there is a registry key that will force iFolder to connect when getting this error.
fix
To force iFolder to make the connection even when it thinks no internet connection exists, even when one does, create a new string in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Novell iFolder\TrayApp registry key that has a name of ForceConnection and a value of Yes.
