symptom
After the installation of the patch and a reboot of the server. I have a new screen "PM Status Install".
change
When Policy Manager comes up it looks for a registry entry (sort of a flag that tells it whether it has been previously run or not). If the entry is not there, it runs as if it were being installed, meaning "no messages whatsoever will be displayed to the system console screen, but needs to be displayed elsewhere just in case there is something that goes wrong." Policy Manager then puts this entry into the registry for subsequent executions. If the server is taken down and brought back up (correctly) and the registry is working, then Policy Manager will not use this screen ever again.
fix
The PM status screen should go away if you reboot the server one more time.
