Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere

symptom

Error:  "SQLException:  JZ0C0: Connection is already closed"

Error: "exception  AMException<string reason ="Alarm not added to the Database....."

Error: "exception  AMException<string reason ="Error while retrieving Alarm Template....";

Error: "AMTemplate: Error: orb.omg.CORBA.BAD_PARAM[completed=MAYBE]"

Errors occur on the  Java Interpreter: com/novell/managewise server screen.

Errors occur when an SNMP trap is being sent by a workstation that has just installed or executed an application object.  

The Reporting Tool in NWADMN32 is not working.

cause

There are three possible causes for this error message:
a) the Sybase server was shut down
b) the Sybase server ran out of connections
c) the Sybase server crashed

fix

Add -mx128M to ALARMMGR.NCF.  In another case an install of ZfD 2 International version fixed the issue.
