symptom

Cannot configure the printer ports  

Unable to configure printer ports after upgrade to Client 4.6 SP2 or 4.7.

Error: " You must select at least one port " in the printer properties when changing to a different screen than "Ports".

The queue is not appearing in the printer properties, in the "Ports" screen. It was appearing with previous versions of the Client.

fix

For the Client 4.6 SP2, there is a patch solving this issue and a couple of other ones. The filename is NT46FT2.EXE.

For the Client 4.7, the fix will be included in the SP1.

You also need to edit the registry and change the following dword key to 1:

[HKLM\Software\Novell\Print]
EnumAllPorts=1
