fix
To recover deleted GW messages from a backup:
1. Restore the postoffice from backup, (as it was before the files were deleted) to a different location than the original.
2. Either on the Windows command line or in the "Target" information on the GW client icon, add the switches /ph-<path to restored post office> and /@u-<Username> (Command line should look similar to the following: <C:\NOVELL\GROUPWISE\GRPWISE.EXE /PH-F:\PO /@U-JDOE>)
3. Start the GroupWise client and login to the recently restored post office).
4. Archive the desired messages.
5. Start the GroupWise client as normal (logging in to the regular Post Office, not the restored PO)
6. open the archive and unarchive the emails.
If the Post office is set to Client/Server only:
1. Change the access mode to Client/Server and Direct for the live system post office.
2. Rebuild the live systems post office, however when it asks for a path for the rebuild, give it the restored PO's path.
3. Changed the access mode back to Client/Server only for the live system
4. Follow steps above on archiving items.
Have the sender resend the message (go to Sent Items, right click on the message, and choose Resend). If the sender has deleted the message, have another recipient forward the message.
