Novell DOS 7.0 XCOPY & Microsoft's DMF Disks

Symptom

Unable to diskcopy high density 3.5 inch diskettes from Microsoft with DMF (Distribution Media Format) in order to make backup copies of original diskettes. Novell DOS 7.0 Diskcopy, MS DOS 6.22 Diskcopy and Norton Utilites 8.0 Dupdisk cannot copy the diskettes.

Solutions

You cannot diskcopy Microsoft DMF (Distribution Media Format) diskettes. If you need backup copies of your program files disks, contact the Microsoft Sales Information Center at 1-800-426-9400. (Information from Microsoft Product Support Services on Compuserve)
