NFS Source for the SLES 8 Installation

Symptom
You follow the manual or readme instructions to make the corresponding NFS volume available for the NFS installation of SuSE Linux Enterprise Server.
However, the installation fails with several problems: it aborts after the CD1, the right CD cannot be found, or you obtain an error message similar to:
there is not enough memory for the minimum installation
Cause
The instructions are not entirely correct.
Solution
Copy all 4 CDs in a directory, e.g. /usr/local/dist/SLES8 in the order: 4-3-2-1
Change to this directory and execute the following command
cp media.2/media media.1/media
Then export this directory and start the manual installation.
