Updated LogicSource for eDirectory
Have you ever wanted to know the inner workings of Novell eDirectory? This month's LogicSource for eDirectory gives you a close look.
Novell eDirectory uses a large number of background processes, the majority of which can be manually triggered and monitored. A new section, "eDirectory Background Processes," has been added to "Understanding eDirectory Processes" to offer explanation. This new section describes the following:
- eDirectory Background Process Descriptions—This section lists the most common background processes and explains how they are used.
- Manually Starting the Background Processes—This section explains how to manually trigger the specified background processes for each supported platform.
- Monitoring the Background Processes—This section explains how to monitor the processes.
- Default Intervals—This section lists the different intervals on which each background process runs and explains how to change these intervals.
- Other Non-configurable Background Processes—Some processes cannot be controlled or monitored. This section provides a brief description of these processes.
