Updated LogicSource for eDirectory

Have you ever wanted to know the inner workings of Novell eDirectory? This month's LogicSource for eDirectory gives you a close look.

Novell eDirectory uses a large number of background processes, the majority of which can be manually triggered and monitored. A new section, "eDirectory Background Processes," has been added to "Understanding eDirectory Processes" to offer explanation. This new section describes the following:

  • eDirectory Background Process Descriptions—This section lists the most common background processes and explains how they are used.
  • Manually Starting the Background Processes—This section explains how to manually trigger the specified background processes for each supported platform.
  • Monitoring the Background Processes—This section explains how to monitor the processes.
  • Default Intervals—This section lists the different intervals on which each background process runs and explains how to change these intervals.
  • Other Non-configurable Background Processes—Some processes cannot be controlled or monitored. This section provides a brief description of these processes.

Install Your New Licenses

Are you already feeling the pressure that accompanies the end of the year? We're alleviating some of that stress by including all of your 2006 evaluation software licenses on CD 1A of this month's shipment.
