Novell ZENworks 7 Suite

Novell ZENworks makes it easy to deploy, manage and maintain IT resources in today's diverse IT environments. This powerful suite integrates innovative cross-platform tools that automate management across the lifecycle of desktops, laptops, servers and handheld devices. With ZENworks, customers can eliminate administrator effort and reduce IT costs while delivering the IT resources that users need, when they need them—all based on identity.

Novell ZENworks Suite includes the following capabilities:

  • Desktop Management reduces the total cost of ownership of Windows desktops and laptops. Administrators can automatically and transparently configure, update and troubleshoot workstations from wherever they are—inside or outside the firewall—without having to visit each device.
  • Linux Management provides centralized control across the lifecycle of Linux systems. It features desktop lockdown, imaging, remote control, inventory and software management.
  • Patch Management delivers a powerful, automated patch management solution that helps companies manage the increasing numbers of patches, updates and fixes that their enterprise environments require.
  • Server Management reduces the costs associated with managing diverse servers by using Policy-driven Automation to simplify routine server management processes.
  • Handheld Management reduces high ownership costs, strengthens corporate data security and increases productivity for a highly mobile workforce.
  • Personality Migration fully captures and restores a Windows desktop work environment so administrators can easily manage, move and maintain a user's desktop with minimal disruption to business.
  • Data Management ensures that user files and data are always protected, available from any location, and easily recovered in the event that local data is lost—all without administrator intervention.
  • Software Packaging simplifies the installation, customization and management of applications by allowing administrators to rapidly prepare reliable Windows Installer (MSI) software packages for distribution across their enterprises.

Novell ZENworks simplifies the management and delivery of resources throughout diverse enterprises and changing work environments. Novell ZENworks provides support for Windows, Linux and NetWare® environments and gives companies control over the operating systems in their environment, affording a quantifiable ROI of more than 1,012 percent.

Novell GroupWise 7

Your collaboration solution should help—not hinder—business productivity. If you're ready for the next step in e-mail, instant messaging, calendaring and task management, Novell GroupWise® 7 can keep your communication channels reliable and secure—and bring you peace of mind. Native Microsoft* Outlook* support, PDA integration with key partners, enhanced migration tools and API advancements are just a few of the new features that put GroupWise in a class all its own.

As a premier multiplatform collaboration solution, GroupWise 7 helps your organization maintain secure, authenticated communications within your enterprise as well as with companies and individuals beyond your firewall. It works across traditional, Web-based and wireless clients, providing users with integrated e-mail, instant messaging and scheduling, as well as task, contact and document management. Equally important, its rich security capabilities and proven reliability provide peace of mind for your IT staff, making GroupWise the leading alternative to Microsoft* Exchange.

Compared to Microsoft Exchange, GroupWise

  • Handles a load capacity up to 200 times greater, reducing your hardware-acquisition and management costs
  • Offers a licensing model that is more flexible—and more affordable (The GroupWise cost per user is one-third that of Exchange.)
  • Has 69 percent less downtime than Microsoft Exchange
  • Offers 72 times fewer vulnerabilities, as cited by CERT.org

Whether you're ready to migrate from Microsoft or you just want stronger security and a more dependable collaboration system (or both), you'll find peace of mind for your administrators and end users with Novell GroupWise 7.
