New Product—Novell Elite Services Pack
We're planning a new release in the coming months which combines the Novell Professional Resource Suite and the entire contents of the On-Demand Training Library. This new offering has been created in response to the growing demands on Novell experts in an ever-more competitive IT market. If you've already subscribed to the Novell Professional Resource Suite, then you know how helpful it is to have such a complete set of tools at your fingertips.

Phasing Out the Windows-based Folio Search
Novell is currently including two search functions as part of the Novell Professional Resource Suite: the Windows-based Folio Search and the multi-platform search. In the January 2010 release, the Windows-based Folio search will no longer be included. We suggest you install and run the multi-platform search now and get familiar with its features. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have concerns.

Updated Software

This month you can check out Novell® GroupWise® 8.0.1. This first service pack fixes some defects, but also delivers better integration with Novell Teaming, updated support for SUSE® Linux Enterprise 11, 508 certification and improved international character support. It also includes new and improved features for administrators and end users:

  • Client option to control how items copied in an IMAP client are handled

  • Individual Appointment Conflict prompts for each instance of recurring appointments

  • Vacation Rule Wizard

  • Improved Linux*/Mac* client functionality
