symptom

With Imaging under ZENworks, trying to start Midnight Commander gives the error
Screen size 0x0 is not supported.
Check the TERM environment variable.
If you check $TERM, the value is "linux"

note

$TERM is set by the GUI routines, it's not used by the ZENworks Imaging engine

fix

As a workaround, when launching Midnight Commander (or any other application that relies on $TERM) it is best to export the value you require as you launch the application, e.g.
EXPORT TERM=vt220;mc
