symptom

Error:  "GrpWise.exe - Entry Point Not Found ?ProcessGWItemTypeProperty@NgwiCalFlProcessor@@UAGKPAVNgwiCalGWItemTypeProperty@@@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library GWWWW1.DLL"

fact

Error occurs when launching the GroupWise client after the installation has completed

cause

The DLL gwwww1.DLL has been replaced by a different version, however the new version was not installed as the file was in use by NOTIFY.EXE. Looking at the file date in the SYSTEM32 directory proved this to be correct.

fix

In the ZENworks for Desktop Application version 6.5 you can specify processes to be terminated before distribution in "Pre-Distribution Process Termination".  Using this, specify NOTIFY.EXE to be terminated before distribution.

note

If running ZENworks for Desktops version 4x, you can use PSKILL from Sysinternals in a pre-distribution script to kill NOTIFY.EXE.  NOTE: This is a third party utility and not supported by Novell.
