symptom

MSI Error 1612 when distributing an MSI application through NAL.

The Novell Client is not installed.

The Application Association is to the user only.

fix

Enable 'Force cache' on the application association before the application GUIDs are written to the workstation registry.  It may be necessary to recreate the application if the 1612 error has already been generated on the application delivery.  For more information, see TID 10081393  NAL File System Access in an Agent-Only environment..  ZW 6.5 online documentation also has information on this File System Access Overview:  'Application Launcher requires MSI applications to be marked Force Cache in order to distribute them. Application Launcher copies the force cached applications to the workstation's NAL cache directory. Microsoft Windows Installer then installs the applications to the workstation from the cache.'
