DS Expert reports excessive DSVerb activity following Nsure Audit installation

DSVerbs, Get Local Entry Name 0xffffffb8 and Get Local Schema Name 0xffffffb4 show a significant increase since Nsure Audit was installed.

cause

When Nsure Audit receives DS events, most of them have entry IDs and Schema IDs that describe the events. Nsure Audit needs to change those to a human readable form, so calls are made to Get Local Entry Name and to Get Local Schema Name to gather this information.

fix

This is working as designed. In order to perform its functions, Nsure Audit needs to make these function calls. The calls being made to resolve entry and schema information do not harm the eDirectory server.

If possible, it will be necessary to change the DS Expert thresholds for these events. DS Expert is a third party product, and is not supported by Novell Technical Services.
