symptom

Creating an NSS partition with a large hotfix size will cause abend.

cause

Steps to cause page fault abend:

1. NSSMU to create a partition.
2. Make the NSS Partition 1000 MB and the hotfix 1000000 KB.
3. When you create this you will get an error "1 Error Creating Pool <Press Enter to Continue>"
4. When you press enter you will abend the server.

Note: If you make the hot fix 130000 KB it will abend while 120000KB will not abend.

fix

This has been fixed in NetWare 6 Support Pack 5 by setting a maximum limit of 120000 KB.
