goal

PARTFIX.NLM

fact

NSS

NetWare

symptom

NSS volume or pool appears to be corrupt or will not mount.

change

A problem may have been introduced with a previous version of code, like a Support Pack.

fix

Partfix can resolve known issues ONLY.

It is designed to fix problems that the tools have been coded to fix, it does not fix generic problems.

:partfix /h

Loading Module PARTFIX.NLM                                       [     OK     ]
/g = Display group info only.
  /h = Help menu.
/l<logfile> = Name and location of the log file.
Can use SCREEN to display on the logger screen.
Can use NONE for no log.
                Default = C:\NWSERVER\PARTFIX.TXT
  /r = Repair if possible.
/s = Log to the screen (same as /lscreen)

USAGE:

a) Use the tool to generate a report of the pool.

b) Send the report to an NTS OS engineer to verify that we can resolve the issue, as well as identify why the problem was introduced.

c) Run the tool with the repair option to fix the known issue when instructed to do so by NTS OS.

PARTFIX /G /L sys:\Report.TXT
