Novell Client 4.9 SP1 for Windows NT/2000/XP

Windows Explorer will not load

Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP1

symptom

When logging in with the 4.9 client ON XP SP1 ONLY, 50% of the time in the wallpaper gets painted, but it looks like explorer does not get started. None of the icons get painted.

fix

Workaround - Disable login scripts.

This is fixed with an updated loginw32.dll file dated 31Mar2004 or later.

Fixed in the Novell Client 4.9 SP2 for Windows NT/2000/XP.
