Error: "-8904" errors in Timesync Debug Screen on Primary Time Source servers

Error: "-8904"

change

Primary Time Source servers were NetWare 5.1 SP5 pointing to Reference NetWare 6.0 SP2 via configured sources using an IP address only.

cause

Configured Sources was not configured to use NTP port 123.

note

Primary Time Sources would get time adjustments just from a Reference server, if the Reference was  NetWare 5.1 SP5 server, however 8904 errors appeared when the Reference server was a NetWare 6.0 server.

fix

When using configured sources, always use the NTP port after the IP address.   For example 192.168.13.54:123;
