symptom

Repair process aborted during Structure and Index Check in DSREPAIR

Hard disk failure causes eDirectory corruption

Error found: 63

Error found: 71

Error found: 51

Error found: 50

Error found: 49

cause

One of the hard disks in the RAID had failed and although the RAID had been reconstructed the corruption had caused the eDirectory database to become corrupt beyond repair

fix

Attempted to repair the database with DSREPAIR however DSREPAIR was unable to recover from the RAID corruption.

If there are current backups of the DIB, before the corruption happened, call Novell Technical Support to restore an older DIB. 

If there are NO DIB's,  remove the server from the tree, replace the damaged hardware and  re-introduce the server into the tree.
