Novell ZENworks for Desktops Pre Boot Services (PXE)

symptom

PXE Boot hangs when loading the kernel

note

  Workstation boots on LAN, Receives IP Address, Contacts Transaction server. 
  Downloads the Linux kernel, begins to load the Linux Kernel and hangs.

          The last commands on the screen are: 
          Executing dnx.dnx with parameters "bootzen5.bin"
          Loading Free DOS
          ROOT FAT KERNEL GO!

 

This has been seen on a Dell GX260 and Compaq Evos D510

fix

This issue has been fixed with the lastest ZENworks for Desktops 4 patch.
