symptom

HTTP Error 504 Gateway Time-Out  

Customer is getting randoms 504 errors

cause

DNS Stateful filter is failing intermittently is NAT is not enable on the public interface. Filter discard debug shows that around 25% of the replies are being dropped by the DNS Stateful filter.
 If dynamic NAT is enable, no fail is happening.
Only Udp traffic is affected.
If the DNS filter is not Stateful, problem is not appearing.
